Centuries long timber building traditions and knowledge have given Estonian producers the necessary competence and courage to create and build complex wooden buildings across the world. Wood has been an essential material for our ancestors as well as it is today for environmentally conscious consumers. With all this the building process has moved more and more from jobsite to factory where it is possible to achieve better quality and efficiency, as well as to increase competitiveness of local producers. Those are the aspects that the showroom in Estonian Wooden Houses Association´s showroom in the new museal building displays.
The showroom displays compact information about the wooden houses sector – one finds a great overview of different timber construction technologies (timber-frame, machined and handcrafted log houses, CLT, etc.), use of materials and finishing possibilities.
